This book is a must have story!  Alexander has a terrible, no good, very bad day.  Everyone has a bad day once in awhile, and this book reassures children it happens to everyone.  When the story is known to a child who is having a bad day, the story can simply be referred to by the parent or caregiver.  The book can be read (when the child is in a better mood) again and again.  Children and adults can relate to this story.  Alexander wants to move to Austrialia, thinking he would have no bad days there.  But his mom says some days are like his bad day, even in Australia.

Winter has gone on so long this year that I’m thinking it might be a good time to read this story.  When even the children are tired of the weather and staying indoors, behavior chemistries could be low.  This is a quickly read picture book.
