Do you know about the Minnie and Moo Series of hilarious beginning readers? If you are reading with a child with an advanced sense of humor for his or her age, this series is perfect. This particular book is about reading level 20, and is the story of how Minnie and Moo accidentally save the entire earth from their hot tub. They say things like they had a “small think” and the Mother Ship has a pink ruffle and high heels. One chapter is about Minnie and Moo, the next is about the aliens, and so on for the first six chapters. Chapter seven is about the invasion and how Minnie and Moo defeat the aliens (I can’t spoil this part for you). The last chapter is about peace on Earth. The humor is almost adolescent which some children would like. The chapters are just a few pages and the print is large. Great for summertime!
