The Blue Hill Meadows appears to be a sweet story for little girls, but it is in fact a story about a boy named Willie. Boys will enjoy hearing about Willie’s adventures. Willie’s older brother is named Ray. The Meadows family lives on Blue Hill, and this is not a story about a meadow! Willie’s family adopts a dog who has puppies in the summer. Willie goes on a wonderful fishing day trip in the fall. He has an unplanned Blizzard Party in the winter when he has to go home with his teacher because of the snowy weather, and his family joins in the fun! In the summer, he plants a surprise garden for his mother not for the plants, but because it will attract a rabbit which will please his mother.
Because this book has four chapters and each has a seasonal story, my FREE PDF work page set is divided into four parts: summer, autumn, winter, and spring. There is space for a little writing and drawing about each chapter.
