In the fall, we read many going back to school books to children to help motivate them when returning to school.  Then we forget all about such books, and by spring students are having a little more trouble attending school when the weather outside looks like summer vacation.  Time to dust off some of the pro-school books again.  This is a great book and it requires little reading, yet children will spend a lot of time with books by Jean Marzollo.  This is a link to her author page on Amazon.

This is a link to where you can click and read the first few pages of this book.

If you don’t have time to read to your child and want your child to spend some time with books not TV or Video Games, this is a great type of book to have at your house.  There are so many you can check out one each trip to the library.

This is a link to both a free Power Point and a free SMART Board Lesson about riddles and idioms on TeacherShare by Scholastic (by me). This lesson has two printable PDF student work pages, also.

Happy reading, Carolyn
