Friends~I always get a bit worried at the beginning of the school year. In fact, I will probably be rubbing my worry stone right before the bell. What’s a worry stone you ask? Well, it is a little rock with a flat side that I rub when my daughter is up to bat during her softball tournaments. I found it this summer and I am planning on using them in my classroom as Power Rocks this year!
My POWER Rocks! (Really called worry stones but I had to add a twist for back to school!)
I found these babies on line and loved that they had encouraging words like courage and never give up! My thought is my kiddos are going to be nervous on day one and I wanted them to have their own (worry stone) power rock to rub and hold. I then wanted to have a set of rocks for the whole year that students could grab if they needed one for comfort or focus.

My kiddos will be rocking with their rocks and I am pretty sure that I will still worry with my worry stone!
